Fisher Brown Bottrell went through a recent merger and needed a management system that would provide workflow consistency and advanced reporting capabilities to standardize its multiple offices. Management also decided it needed to move to the cloud to provide connectivity across the agency and its remote offices.

We chose to operate in Applied Cloud because we knew the environment was stable. Applied Cloud offers security, continual upgrades and maintenance, and relieves our IT department. Now we are much more agile when acquiring agencies and expanding our national footprint.

Connected agency: Standardized workflows and real-time information

With eight remote offices that needed to stay connected without interruption, a cloud-based system was the only option for Fisher Brown Bottrell. “We chose to operate in Applied Cloud because we knew the environment was stable,” said Tiffany Johnston, technology channel and innovation manager, Fisher Brown Bottrell. “Applied Cloud offers security, continual upgrades and maintenance, and relieves our IT department.” Most importantly, hosting Applied Epic in Applied Cloud enables all of the offices throughout the Southeast to have access to the same account information and company data. “Now we are much more agile when acquiring agencies and expanding our national footprint, and that is due to Applied Epic,” said Johnston. Applied Epic’s unique software architecture provides scalability and enables Fisher Brown Bottrell to manage expansion and business growth with ease.

Applied Epic now provides managers at Fisher Brown Bottrell access to robust reporting capabilities. Additionally, Applied Epic enables audit workflows to ensure producers and account managers are completing tasks correctly. “E&O prevention is much tighter with Applied Epic,” said Johnston. “I can run a report to check invoices and audit policy information. Nothing slips through the cracks.” Standardized workflows occur across all remote offices leveraging the same account data. Johnston also mentions that staff are now more accountable to each other since they have access to the same data. If someone goes on maternity leave or vacation, another employee can pick up right where they left off.

As Fisher Brown Bottrell grows, there has been a strong focus on agency perpetuation. Since implementing Applied Epic, Fisher Brown Bottrell has experienced an 8.5 percent growth rate. Applied Epic enables easier onboarding and staff training. “We have had people accept positions at Fisher Brown Bottrell because we have Applied Epic,” said Johnston. “Applied technology is a real draw when searching for top talent.” Applied Mobile also helps in attracting top producer talent. “As soon as we brought on Applied Mobile, our producers were extremely happy,” said Johnston. “They want to be out in the field selling, but they also need to be able to access client information and add activities, attachments and prospects.
